Blood can be divided into two parts basically, plasma and cells. The cell part of blood consists of erythrocytes (red blood cells), leukocytes (white blood cells) and blood-platelets. PRP is derived from the plasma part of blood. The task of thrombocytes is to coagulate blood and secreting growth factors which are used in speeding wound healing process.

PRP application can be done with a plasma obtained in amounts of 4-5 ml. The type of application is similar to mesotherapy, including fine tipped needles. The duration of the application is 45 minutes. It is sufficient for desired results to be seen in 3 sessions of 2–3-week intervals, after that, every 6-12 months. The maximum effect to be seen may take a few weeks since the first application.
